Good road bikes from 300-400 dollars?

Don't buy from bikes direct. They're running sort of a scam. Not really cause you get a bike for what you pay but the bikes are made in taiwan and the company is really sketchy. I looked into it a while back. The bike names they use like mercier and motobecane were good bike makers a while ago but went out of business. Bikes direct m produces these bikes and stamps the names on them but they are not made by the original companies. The bikes may be sized wrong or not be in the appropriate proportions. That's what I remember but you should check it out. If you want a good road bike at a decent price, check craigslist. Buying used bikes is the best way to get a good deal. You can talk down most of those people. My boyfriend got a cannondale caad8 with an ultegra/105 mix for $600 but you can probably find one that fits your budget. Good luck on your search!
