How do wildfires affect the ozone layer? i am participating in the GLOBE projects. its kind of like a science?

Wildfires add carbon dioxide and soot into the atmosphere. The soot is washed out by the rain, and the carbon dioxide is eventually recycled when the recently burned area starts to regrow. The effect on the ozone layer is none. Ozone (or O3) is made and destroyed and made again by ultraviolet and other ionizing radiation at the upper level of the atmosphere.
