North Korean nuclear proliferation programme, what is to be done?
I have got to the stage where I have read enough times of North Korea going against UN orders to stop it's program of nuclear weapons. Wat annoys me more is the fact that we have spent the last 9 years fighting a retarded war that wasnt needed when there was a much more important one right under our nose. N.Korea have tested both their short range ballistic missles and also carried out 2 underground nuclear tests. How many times can the UN be defied before it is time for action? Alright sanctions have been put in place, which Kim Jung Il did say he would recognise as an act of war, but is this enough? The fact that they launched 7 short range missles on the eve of independance day says that they are trying to aggrevate the US. My personal opinion is to nip this one in the bud and go in there and take out their capabilities, as there is much more at risk if we don't i.e 35,000 troops in South Korea, South Korea itself, Japan, China and Russia ontop of Britain and the US. We need to show the world that we are not intimidated. Lastly N.Korea is selling missle to the likes of Iran syria etc to fund their proliferation program, which would be seen as adding fuel to the fire.
