Genetics question. Please help!?

The wording is a little confusing, but if by 'is also located on the X chromosome' you mean 'only located on the X chromosome', then the obvious answer is that, since male cats are XY, they cannot hope to have more than one allele for coat colour (1 allele per X chromosome), and therefore can never be calico, which requires the presence of both the black and yellow alleles.
