Ovulating on both sides?

My mother's father, my grandfather, was a fraternal twin. They say that I have a higher chance of having the hyperovulation gene, since that is ped through generations. This has not been confirmed. I am just curious as to whether some people felt themselves ovulating on both sides. This month I have been paying close attention and felt cramping on one side, and then the other and also had 2 days of positive opks. Any insight on this? I did bd on cd 12, 15, and 17 and felt ovulation pains Saturday and Sunday. Thanks!
